Target to World Class University
In order to achieve "Top 500 QS-WUR (World University Rank)" or to be qualified as "Top 200 QS-AUR (Asian University Rank)", Universitas Sumatera Utara needs to have a structured program that has to be continuously evaluated. As a reminder, USU and the other 13 PTN-BH are now being supported by KEMDIKBUD in order to be ranked as top 500 QS-WUR, and USU now has scores of 5,9 in QS-WUR (ranked 1201 in the world) and 8,7 in QS-AUR (ranked 501 in Asia), and based by these two scores, USU will strive to be a better university every year.
Target QS-WUR
The achievement target of QS WUR from 2021 to 2024 is listed in the table; based on the table, USU is expecting a 9,7 score at 2022 and a 16,7 score at 2023. Based on this score, USU will devise programs and activities for every parameter.

Target QS-AUR
The achievement target of QS-AUR is to reach the best 200 QS-AUR, and in order to achieve this rank, a score of 25,5 must be reached. While in 2021 USU got an 8,7 for the baseline, in order to accomplish the goal (the best 200 QS-AUR), USU planned to attain a 12,1 score by 2022 and a 17,2 score by 2023. On the table, we can see the achievement target from 2021 to 2024. Based on this table, we are planning to devise programs and activities to raise every indicator that will be accumulated to raise the final score.
