The signing ceremony of a Momerandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Universitas Sumatera Utara and Satya Terra Bhinneka University is held on Monday 17th of April 2023. This activity is attended by Vice Rector 3, Prof. Dr. Apt. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, M. Si., and the founder of Universitas Satya Terra Bhinneka Sir Sofyan Tan.
On the opening speech Sir Sofyan Tan explained the meaning of their university Satya Terra Bhinneka. It consist by three word that is Satya (Loyal), Therra (Earth) and Bhinneka (Diversity) so Satya Terra Bhinneka means that they will loyally save the earth and their diversity. After that Sofyan Tan give the reason why they want to cooperate with Universitas Sumatera Utara.
“Universitas Satya Terra Bhinneka established in order to answer education that leads to research. So even though there are Tri Dharma in higher education, our institute more emphasized on research, therefore we appointed USU to cooperate in this research field”. Said Sofyan Tan
The Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara explained about the priority programs that have been working on USU, on the field of research writing and publication, also The cooperation plan that will be executed by both side on the fields of academic, research, publication and innovation development, community service and improvement of human resources.
This ceremony is closed with the photo session and souvenir exchange from both sides.
